Chow Entrenamiento

Hola!
First off here in Chile they use chow not adiós.
First off I got a new companion!  He is awesome!  His name is Elder Hardy.  He has taught me a lot!  First off Matias got Baptized!  I am so pumped for him!  He is honestly a great example for me, and I have learned a lot about Humility, and just tons!  The Baptism service was super!  The spirit was definitly there, and he has just made a decision that will change his whole life.  I asked him how he felt and everything and he told me he felt tranquilo and after he recieved the Holy Ghost on Sunday, he was told me that he feels new and ready to continue.  He has a great friend that has really been helping him!

So I have a funny story.  On the way to Church yesterday we picked up a investigator and he is awesome!  So we get to the Church and a member of the Bishop Presidency meets us and told us that we left the broom AKA we blew it.  So I might or might not of left the baptismal font running all night and flooded the Church, it wasnt to bad.  I honestly thought I turned it off!!!  But, I felt really bad and we helped clean up a little bit this morning, and all is well, no damage that we now off.  I still feel super bad, but hey I probably wont make that mistake a again.
But we found a great part family yesterday, and they seem like they will really progress, so it was a little bitter sweet!  But all is well!!!
Love you all!

Elder Strate, va a salir....

Well this has been pretty good!  It is currently week 6, and I would be getting to know the cambios, by the end of next week, but we are going to Puerto Monte to hear a seventy, and Elder Strate is going to stay there.  So I will have a new companion.  I has been a blast serving with him!  I have basically finished my training, and these next couple of weeks I will have to lead the sector, in order for my new companion to know who we are teaching, and where everything is.  Elder Strate has really taught me a lot!

This week we recieved a referance from the mission office, which is super rare!  But we were able to find the referance, and he is super cool, and seems like he will really go far!!  He is from the Dominican Republic and moved here when he was 17.

With Matias we had to change his baptism to next week, because he had guard duty this last Sunday, and wouldnt have recieved the Holy Ghost until next week.  However he is doing good and really progressing!

Tommorow we leave to Puerto Monte, to hear an area of seventy talk!  That will be awesome!!  Other than that It has been a great week!!
I will send a picture of me, Matias, and his friend!  And a picture of our last Consejo!
Love you all!

Thanksgiving in Chile

Well obviously thanksgiving doesnt exist here, but Elder Strate and I make turkey and mashed potatoes, so its all good!  I hope all of your thanksgivings were awesome!!!

So jumping right into the week!  Matias had a baptismal interview yesterday!  Basically he is awesome!  He is an awesome example to me!  It would be so cool to be in his position!  We showed him the baptismal fount yesterday and the first word that came out of his mouth was WOW!  It was awesome!  He is super cool!  You will most likely hear about a baptism next week!

Also two nights ago we had the oportunity to teach the restoration with a family we found, it was a cool experiance!  I definilty felt the spirit!  I just need to work on teaching more clearly now.

Also we had a FHE with the Familia Sandoval and they invited a couple of their friends, and one of them really wanted to come, but couldnt make it!  So we were knocking earlier this week and we found her!  Without a referance, and she told us that she had been wanting to hear about the Church!  How cool is that!!

Also some of the members gave us sea lion oil, it is suppossed to help you not get sick, but the mainly gave it to us to see our reaction, it was yucky!  But they had sweets ready for me to eat after I tried it!  Also we chopped so wood like normal that was super fun!  I have a picture!  I am sorry if this is kind of scattered, but its all good!  Love You All!
Elder Mills

I got chased by a sea lion!

So first off I got chased by a baby sea lion!  It was so much fun, really we where trying to protect it from dogs, but we think it came up the river and got lost in some of the smaller rivers by our casa.  But it chased me, it was pretty cool!  I have pictures!

The other day we had a Noche De Hogar (fhe)  with a less active family, right now they are working towards the Temple!  It is awesome!  They are super cool, and yesterday they set up a noche de hogar with some of their friends!  Super Cool!

Then I had an inter cambio with Elder Godoy, and I was able to talk to him. it was awesome!  Also we have a investigator with a baptismal interview this saturday!  He is a awesome!  I am short on time so basically we had some good contacts and stuff!

What's Up?

Hola!
This week has been great I am just going to jump right into it!  This week after one of our citas was dropped, we felt as if we should go pass by a Investigator who we thought wouldnt be home, because of his job.  He is a Carbinero or a police man.  So it is super hard to find him.  But we went and found him!  It was great!  The spirit was super strong and he is a really good guy!

Then with Fabian and Catholine, they gave us once.  I dont even understand why they call it once if they eat at like 7 at night.  But we taught them after about the Word of Wisdom, it was a little hard for them to get, but they are going to pray about it!  They are super good people!

Then we meet with Matias yesterday and he is super pumped to be baptised, he is awesome!  Also earlier this week we found a new family to teach!  We taught them the first lesson and the spirit was super strong and yeah they are awesome!  Then yesterday we were knocking and we went to a future investigators house, and he was super receptive to talk with us, but he is agnostic.  He is super cool though and a really nice, and funny guy!  So we have a return appointment with him.

Other than that it has been a super good weak!  I was thinking about something.  It is crazy how little things that we sometimes forget can change us, therefore we may see them as little when they can change our whole course!  I have love the mission it is super Awesome!

Great Week

Well I dont know what to say other than this week has been great!
Cool experience I dont know if I talked about this last week, but as a mission we had a fast for a family that wanted to get married, because the registro civil was in paro.  So guess what?  Of course the registro civil is no longer in paro!  How cool!

Another thing that is cool is that we found a new family that committed to being baptized!!  I strongly believe that they have truly been prepared!  Of course there is still more to teach, but they are an awesome family and I have learned a lot from them!  Whenever we walk into their house we can feel the Spirit, they have been searching for a while.  The wife told us that she had been looking for a while for the truth, and that she feels the Spirit when we share with their family.  It is awesome!  We have spent a lot of time knocking and contacting which has been fun as well!  We also had a oportunity to talk with Matias, the soldier yesterday.  He is awesome!  We didnt have much time to talk with him, but he seems to be doing awesome!

On Saturday and Sunday we had a district conferance.  It was cool and President Obeso came, and had interviews with us that was a riot!  He is super cool!  We had a good converstaion, but it was super short because he had a meeting right after!

However I learned a lot!  One thing I started to work on the begining of my senior year was spending less time on social media, or my phone.  I have really realized the blessing of focussing all of my time on the Obra Misional!  It has been a riot, really I wish I would have listened to more conferance talks and such before!  It is a blessings to have that opportunity I have found that I often took for granted.  Love you All!

1 Cambio down!

Hola!!!
So this week was pretty great!
So this last Tuesday me and Elder Strate had inter cambios with the Elders in Puerto Cisnes!  It was pretty fun!  I worked with Elder Harris, it was a blast!  His companion, Elder Torres, is from Peru, really close to where Elder Mcmillan is serving.  However he was super cool, and I was able to talk to him, and keep a conversation with him for a while.  He said my Spanish was coming!  Puerto Cisnes is really pretty and a ton of fun.

Then we had a lesson with Soladad.  It went super well and we had our old Presidente de Rama there.  He gave a strong testimony and really helped with the lesson!  He was realeased yesterday, we are going to miss him, because he is going to Santiago.  However we think Soladad is really going to progress!

Then we visited the family of Catholine and Fabian, and Fabian has been reading which is awesome!
Also on Saturday we arrived at a new investigators house, and he asked us if we could help him with getting wood.  So we put on these huge rubber boots, and walked into this field/swamp.  We then proceeded putting wood into the wheelbarrow in order to get the wood to where we could take it back to the house, we had to walk on branches over this huge puddle.  Needless to say I took a wrong step.  But that was the fun part!  It was honestly a blast!

Here is the best part of the week.  Matias actually made it out of the regimiento or millitary camp and we had a lesson with him!  His fecha dropped before because he couldn`t come to church, but he came!  We taught him after and he is super pumped, he is solid and I have learned a lot about humility from him!  He asked us when he could get baptized!  Awesome!  He is super cool!

Other than that this week was great!  Because it is cambios and me and Elder Strate are still companions so we are happy about that!  I have learned a lot from Elder Strate!

Great Week

Hola I do not have a ton of time!
However this week has been great!  My Spanish is coming along, thanks to the wonderful pacience of my companion Elder Strate!  So first of this week was great overall we found some new people to teach!
We also had a cool exprience.  Because my companion is a District Leader we were going to go to Puerto Cynes for a division, but the bus was full so we couldn`t and we are going tomorrow. However that day we felt like we should go visit a Part Member Family.  We arrived and they gave us once.  We had crapes with manhar.  It was great but most importantly we were going to teach them the Plan of Salvation, but Elder Strate felt we should read 3 Nephi chapter 11 with them, so we did.  It was great and the Spirit was strong!  We think the will progress.

Then we visited a inactive family and watched a mormon message.  It was great!  They came to church, and during Gospel Principales we talked about Temple Marriage, and they shortly after had a hour long interview with the President!  They are going to progress!

Then Yesterday we had a new investigator family and they seemed interested!
It was an awesome week!

I  have started to feel at peace during teaching it is awesome!  Just remeber God Loves you!

Hola pictures

Hey Everyone!  Sorry last week my email was really short!  Last monday was a holliday when nobody works, so we were really lucky to find a ciber that works!  That made it so much fun though!

Last Saturday we held a activity, we made some popcorn and treats and played Meet the Mormons!  it was awesome!  We had a investigator come, and she really liked the video.  We also got a referance and a possible new investigator!  It was a good turn out!  This week we spent a lot of time knocking doors and trying to find more people to teach!  It was good!  We walk a lot during the day we estimate we on average walk around 6 to 10 miles a day!  It is a riot!

I also had the opportunity to do a inter cambio with the Zone Leaders!  It was good, and I learned a lot!  I can teach, but at times I repeat myself or go in circles.  I have been trying to teach in a more simple yet understandable way.  Elder Peterson gave me this advice.
When you teach, this is a way to keep it simple.
1. First teach the principle
2. Ask good questions, share a scripture, story, or example
3. Then bear simple testimony!
It was good for me to understand how to really teach in a more simple manner.

It was funny last week a drunk guy tried to dance with me, and now we think a store owner is paying him to dance outside of his store!  He is funny guy!  We also have another drunk friend that calls us pharisies, but he is super nice!  It honestly is a blast here!  Also it is really pretty and pictures do not really come close to the beauty here.

This week has been a blast.  I love it here and I love the mission.  I also have a really good Trainer Elder Strate he is a really good teacher, and he involves me in everything so I can pick up the language more.  I am participating in more lessons, and it is a riot!  It is hard a times to focus expecially when you do not know what people are saying, but it is coming so it is all good!  I honestly have learned a lot!  I love it here!

Hola
This week has been great!  I haved really enjoyed it!
I had the opportunity to watch General Coferance in english!  It was awesome!

Quick thought
I really enjoyed Elder Ucthdorf's talk about the spot light!  It was a great analogy!  I know that at times it is really hard to reallize that we have a spotlight, and often times we blag the spotlight when times are hard. But I know we can´t pull the plug or we will wander helplessly through a dark tunnel possible falling into a ditch on the side.  At times it is hard to realize that we need the light in our lifes as well, but regaurdless of how great we may feel.  Don`t blame the spotlight when we were the ones that unplugged it.  God is always there, we just have to take the courage to plug it in, and give the Lord our best effort!  I know that if we do that he will guide us!

I really dont have a ton to talk about, however I had one really cool experiance this week after conferance we had the opportunity to teach Mateas.  He is in the millitary and is really hard to get a hold of, but his friend Abrham has been fellowshiping.  Fellowshiping is important.  He had been reading the Book of Mormon, and praying and he said that he felt really good!  We taught him the Plan of Salvation and the spirit was definitly there.  He is honestly one of those people that you just marvel at, and want to be in his position so you can feel as he does.  However he said the closing prayer and expressed gratitude for just a little bit more knowledge.  I learned a lot about humility from him.  Often times I thank God for the big times, but forget the small times when He has helped me.  It is something I strive to work more effectively at.  Other than that this week has been great!

HE MADE IT!

Dear Family of Elder Mills,

We are pleased to inform that your son has arrived safe and sound and smiling to the Chile Osorno Mission.  It was a pleasure for us to greet your son upon his arrival and feel his desire to serve.  Enclosed is a picture that we took with him shortly after his arrival.  After a short period of orientation regarding mission procedures, customs of the country, etc., we assigned Elder Mills to work in the city of Puerto Aysen with Elder Strate who is from Utah as his companion.  Your son's address during his time in the mission will be:

                                               Elder Eli Mills
                                      Casilla 7-0
                                      Osorno, Chile

Sister Obeso and I love our missionaries and are truly happy to have the opportunity to work with Elder Mills.  We appreciate your willingness to share him with us as he works as a missionary and ambassador for the Lord in Chile.  Sharing the gospel with these deserving children of our Father in Heaven will certainly bring great joy and satisfaction to him, and to you as well.  Thank you so much for helping him get to this point.

Please write him regularly–at least once a week.  Your love, interest, and support will be of great help to him.  Should there be any emergency or if you desire information regarding any urgent situation, please feel free to contact the Missionary Department in Salt Lake City rather than go to the expense of phoning the mission here in Chile.

The missionary work is progressing rapidly here in southern Chile, and I hope that you will share in his exciting mission experience as Elder Mills writes to you weekly and keeps you informed of his challenges and achievements and experiences.

Sincerely,

President Rodrigo Obeso

Chile Osorno Mission

First Week in Chile!!!

Hey Everyone!  Greetings from Aysen Chile.
The beauty here really goes beyond all words and pictures!  The bus ride here was eye opening, so was the flight!  I am more towards the bottom of Chile, and yes at times it is a little chilly, and it rains almost everyday!  I love it!  It is strange here they speak really fast and all the members tease me about it, but I can bear testimony!  That is all you need!

I have really learned a lot here!  I can definitely say that there is a lot of work that needs to be done here, but boy am I anxious to do it!  My companion Elder Strate is awesome, he is from Utah as well, and we are both just plugging away!  The only culture shock I have had was how little the church is here.  Yesterday out of our sector and the Hermanas we had 64 people come to church!  We are going to do our best to raise that.  I know that as we are obedient and do our best that we will receive divine help from God and that we will find the people that have been prepared, and truly want to find the truth.  I think that applies to life in general.  My companion is a District Leader so we have a little bit more we have to do every day, but we are putting in our best!

I am super anxious to work, and there is a lot of work to be done, so I am pumped!  I wish the best for everyone back home!  And I am sorry if I cannot email all of you individually.  Anyways thank you for all your great examples!
Elder Mills

Week 6

Well I leave this Monday!  I have loved my time here in the CCM!  The sunrises here are very pretty here!  Also these last couple of days we have had the opportunity to see a planet in the morning. I will sure miss the CCM.  The next email you will get from me will be from Chile.  I know when I get to Chile that the language will be completely new, because the Latinos here are saying it is hard for them to understand Chileans sometimes, however I hear that Osorno does not have as many fast speaking people, I hope!  Yesterday I got my flight plans!  I have an 8 hour flight to Santiago, then a 5 hour layover!  Then another 2 hour flight to Osorno, and then possible another couple of hours depending on where I go!

Before I start the rest of my email, I want to tell you something I found crazy.  Last night was Independence day, so of course the whole CCM was decorated.  For the night devotional we watched some short movies about Mexico, then the Church movie called Legacy.  It was great!  I said the opening prayer.  Then President Call told us not to go out of our house after the devotional, because at night they shot guns in the air, and they have found bullets on the roof.  I did not think it would be that loud last night, but boy was I wrong!  I heard fireworks, music, and gunshots all night!  I does not help when your Casa is right next to the road as well as your window!  I woke up a couple times!  It was awesome though!  I bought some pretty cool scripture cases with the Salt Lake and Mexico City Temples on them!  Maybe next week I will send a picture.

Last Sunday we got to see the Temple dedication, and Elder Holland and President Erying spoke!  Rumor had it that they would both come to speak to us, but they did not.  This morning I got to go through the Temple!  It was a little chaotic considering there was about close to 100 of us.  However I love the temple it was awesome, and I really felt the Spirit.  It is crazy how much I have learned and grown here.  The Spirit is definitely really strong when you are on the Lords errand!  One thing for certain I have learned so far is that I am nothing!  Compared to God I am more than insignificant. However the Lord loves us so much, that to him we are everything!  An Elder in my district put it this way [Elder Nelson] God is like a huge red

wood tree, and we are his seed.  The seed of a redwood tree is very small, and really hard to see, but as it is nourished, it turns into something huge.  That analogy is such an amazing description to me of the Loving Nature of Heavenly Father.  I find it amazing to see his hand in my life and others.  I can not wait to go serve, help, and invite others come unto Christ!  I am more than excited!  I am Anxious!  I have learned a lot about what it really means to put 100% of my heart into the mission!  I am not afraid to say that I have a ton to work on!  I love you all!
Elder Mills
P.S. Mom thank you for the donuts!  My whole zone really enjoyed them!  Don´t worry I did too!

Week 5

Well time has really gone out the window!  It has been a blast!  The windows in our room face north, and on the south side there is a brick wall and a door opening to the hall.  We made the comparison that the windows were home. and the Brick wall was Chile, and we could not see Chile. but we are going to walk through that door soon.

The good thing about a mission so far is that you realize that there is always something you can do better!  I think that applies to life in general!  Everyone can do better!  I know that as we put our trust in the Lord that he will make weak things strong!  We had the privilege to watch a past devotional from Elder Perry and he talked a lot about how in our prayers rather then asking for something, we need to ask for strength to do the things which the Lord would have us do.  I think that it is essential to pray more earnestly and to put our heart into prayers in order to receive help from God.  Elder Perry also mentioned how we all need to pray in Humility.  On Sunday we all had the chance to bear our testimony, and I got a prompting to share mine about the Sacrament.  Sunday night we watched The Restoration movie, and of course the spirit was very strong.  I almost always tear up when I watch movies about the Savior.  Then yesterday a area of the Seventy came and talked about the twelve tribes of Israel and how we are gathering the tribes of Israel.

Two weeks ago he came and took pictures of Elder Jacobs and I, and sent them to my dad I think.  Then he had me go to his house and he gave me cookies.  After the devotional last night I went up to the stage and talked to him and his wife for a minute. and Sister Rubacalva invited me to come to her house last night. and she gave me donuts!  They really brightened my night!  I will have to make them a thank you card.  They are wonderful.

Elder Shepard brought a really nice camera, so I had some modeling opportunities.

Week 4 Cage Soccer and Ultimate Tic Tac Toe

So far it has been great!  So far I have played what we call cage soccer every day!!  It is a blast!  It is like indoor soccer just inside a fence.  Since we had some free time today we made something called ultimate ultimate tic tac toe.  I do not want to play since it would probably take at least and hour!!   I will send a picture. Right after I sent an email last week Elder Christofferson came to speak to us!  When he entered the auditorium the spirit was stronger then I have ever felt it!  It was an awesome experience and he answered some of the questions I have been praying about.  One thing that really stuck out to me was that he said as you teach others the atonement you yourself will also experience it.  Those are not his exact words, but it really hit me that in order to become a missionary you must experience the things you are teaching, but most importantly you will go through the same things you teach your investigators.  I am so excited for when I go to Chile!!!!  He also talked about how we lose ourselves teaching others and when we teach others we find ourselves, but we need to serve others out of love.  Before I came on a mission I prayed to have the same love Christ does for others, and I am still praying like mad!  Yesterday Elder Oaks spoke at the Provo MTC and we got the opportunity to watch him speak live!  He talked about how we all need to KNOW the Plan of Salvation because it is fundamental to our church!  He also spoke about how in order to keep the Spirit with us always we need to partake of the sacrament regularly beforehand praying for forgiveness.  This week has been great! Elder Jacobs and I are now teaching someone named Marco Antonio [Hermano Ortiz]  he asks a ton of questions, and we can actually answer them in Spanish!!  We also had TRC this week.  TRC is when they bring in members from the city and you try to answer there questions!  It was so hard!  I could barely understand a thing, they speak so fast!!!  Other than that it is so cool to see the Lords blessings!  I am grateful for all the times he has helped me!

Week 2 My Typical Day

We Miss Ammon!! We took this picture the Monday before he left>
Ammon's District eating the donuts we sent him.
This is the sweatshirt I put in Ammons bags with a note to wear it if he ever needed a hug.
Here is how Ammon describes his typical day:
My typical day is waking up by 6.30 then getting to breakfast around 7.00.Then we study for an hour.  Hermano Ortiz comes and teaches us Spanish grammar.  Then those that teach him the lessons leave while the other half of the district study.  Then there is more study then lunch at 12.00.  Then we study more until 2.10 and have gym until 3.10ish  then we have tall which is an online learning resource.  Then we study more then go to Dinner at 5.30.  Then me and Elder Jacobs teach our new investigator Lucy she is the same girl as Mellisa.  Our last lesson with her went to well, she is already committed to baptism but is pregnant and does not have a husband so that will be a fun conversation in the future.  This week was kind of scary my district leader had an incident but I will put that in the big email.

This week has been very eventful!  The biggest event is that tomorrow Elder Christoferson is coming to speak to us!!!!!!  I am so pumped!  We study like crazy here and I love it!  First off I would like to thank you mom for all the donuts!  I was losing weight, but probably not anymore!  They were great though!  I will attach a picture of our district eating them!  Me and Elder Jacobs are having a great time!  He is honestly a great example to me!  We are doing our best!  We already have a new investigator!  Her name is Lucy, she is the same girl as Melissa from last week just a different scenario.  Yesterday we taught our first lesson with her, and it seemed way too easy!  She is pregnant and has no husband so I am nervous for when we bring up the Law of Chastity.  So scary experience  I won't use his name but my one of the missionaries in my district did not feel too good Monday night and as we were walking back to our casa he collapsed, so we elevated his feet, and ended up having to carry him to the infirmary with the help of another district.  We ran and got his twin brother.  Then his companion gave him a blessing.  We then waited in the waiting room.  He started to have spasms so I went in to help hold him down so he would not fall off the bed.  It took like four guys to hold him down!  We stayed up until 12. It was kinda of scary, but you could definitely see the hand of the Lord.  He is all better now!  We have had two devotionals this week and we watched one that Elder Holland gave and holy cow he is powerful!  It was great!  I surprisingly have not missed a day of writing in my journal yet.  The food here is alright!  The spirit is so abundant here too!  Thank you all for the love you have shown me!

MEXICO MTC WEEK 1

Well I got here!  It has definitely not been easy at all!  It´s beautiful here!  There are tiny parrots {papagayo} flying around everywhere and the are almost my favorite animal now!  The food here is great!  The other Elders here are telling us the beans here make you sick, but I think there are good and so far so good!  One of the Elders in my District puts the beans on beans on everything it´s funny!  Even on spaghetti.  Almost every night we hear explosions, and we don´t know if they are gun shots or fireworks, but i´m pretty sure they are gunshots!  Every night there are people out on the streets yelling and playing music until like 1.00 in the morning!  Elder Jacobs likes the window open so I just deal with it!  My district is pretty fun!  Elder Jacobs is really cool, he is a great example to me!  Right after I arrived here me and Elder Jacobs had to teach a lesson in Spanish!!!!!  Holy Cow was that humbling!  I just kinda sat there with my mouth open.  The next lesson was great though!  It´s a little hard to invite the Spirit in those lessons, especially with a huge language barrier, but we are doing our best!  Our {investigators} name is Mellisa.  You know she is a member, but you just have to have the mentality that's shes not so you can really teach with the spirit.  It´s cool how much you learn here.  I stink at Spanish, but spanglish is coming along quite well!  You  just have to speak the language as much as you can.  All the Elders that are leaving the MTC or CCME are like veterans to us, but when the get out there they will be in the same position we are, it´s crazy!  They say it goes really fast!  We study a lot here and the devotionals are great!  The Devotionals are usually Elder Bednar.  Yesterday they played a talk that he gave it was about Christs Character it was super humbling and a great talk!  Everything is going well!  They have a gym here so that makes me really happy!  There is a huge mountain behind us and the houses almost go all the way to the top of the mountain!  It´s really beautiful here.  Today we got to go to the open house of the Mexico City temple!  It´s beautiful!  I will try to send pictures.  Next Wednesday Elder Christoferson is coming to speak to us, and i´m pumped!  Oh and by the way mom I am writing in my journal every night!  That´s new!
-Elder Mills
I also found a picture of Teancum it´s sick!

AMMON AND ELDER JACOBS IN FRONT OF THE MEXICO CITY TEMPLE

MTC DISTRICT left to right Elder Neilson, Elder Gledhill, Hermana Batty, Hermana Norton, Elder Sheppard, Elder Hobbs, Ammon and Elder Jacobs.

LEAVING ON A JET PLANE!!!

This is Ammon and his companion Elder Nate Jacobs giving us a final wave as they head off through the security line.

Ammon's was so excited to go!

Not a tear was shed ....by him. His last words to me were Mom you will be ok! I love you. Even as I write this I pray that is true. Still crying... So he is off and with him a huge chunk of my heart!
The Lord knows me so well. I am amazed at all the tender Mercys He has given to me. I was able to connect with Nate's mom on Facebook. We decided to get the boys together before the security line so they would know at least someone. They laughed and joked the whole way! It made my heart so happy that he wasn't on his own. They didn't sit together on the plane but when they arrived at the MTC they found out they were companions. So blessed to have met Ammon's first companion and his family.
This is a sister serving in Ammon's mission. He was so cute he wouldn't even look her in the eye! I said buddy it's ok she is a missionary to. As a missionary you are going to meet a lot of new people. Might as well start now.

Ammon arrived at the airport Wednesday at 8am to travel directly to the Mexico MTC. Definitely an emotional day for all of us! So glad we were packed days before because I know I couldn't remember my own name that morning because I was so emotional.
