Busy Boy!

This week has been a little crazy so far!  We have found some great people and have taught.  We have seen the blessings of God even when at times we dont deserve them.  They only come because God loves his children.  We are instruments in his hands, but he cant use broken instruments!  I have relaxed a little.  I havent been as stressed as I was.  These transfers I will stay here with Elder Sheppard.  My old zone leader is now a AP and there sector got white washed.  There is also a new sister in our district.  So half the district is new.  I am excited to work with them all.  They seem really great!  I am trying to improve my consejos so that they dont seem bored.  I would like it to be a little bit more interactive.  I am going to better my questions and how the consejo is formed.

My Day

Well my day so far.  I woke up and didnt hear the alarm this morning.  So I woke up at 7:15.  Then during personal study I studied the numbers of the district and what we can do better.  Then during comp study Elder Sheppard gave me some ideas during District Meeting!  Then we went to a church and played handball and 3 step with other misionaries.  Through out the day we are going to buy food and go back to the house and play ping pong and I am going to study a little.  This upcoming week is going to be a little crazy, but it looks really bright!  I am glad to hear about Sarah Neilson she will be a great misionary!  That is cool to hear about the early morning schedule keep them going with that!  That will help them througout there whole life!
So this week was pretty good!  We are teaching a new investigator.  Her name is Matilde she is pretty cool.  She is the mother of our mamita, and doesnt have a lot of education, but is super nice and really funny.  She has listened to missionaries before but is really seeming to understand and apply the Gospel now.  We are teaching her with our mamita and leaving them assignments to read together.  It has worked very well.  She this last week read and prayed to God to know if the Book of Mormon is true.  She recieved her anwser!  It was awesome!  We also had a lesson with a young man named Andres he is pretty cool.  He is an old investigator and when the misionaries left the sector he was in, he kept reading the Book of Mormon and he got all the way to 3nephi!  He thinks it is true and everything!  So now we just got to keep going with him!  This week I have felt the Spirit!  I have also felt Gods help throughout this week!  I have really found in the mission a love for studying, I have learned a lot and it has truly blessed my life!  I have also gained a stronger testimony of teaching in a way so that people understand!  If they understand they can truly feel the spirit!  I know that God loves us and that as misionaries we are helping God in his purpose to help his children return back to live with him!  Mother I love you!!

Suprise !!!

Well this week was good and interesting!  First off I got another new companion!  We had a suprise transfer!  My new companions name is Elder Shepard!  he is from California.  He is a great guy, and a great missionary!  I am sure we will see miracles this transfer!  I am grateful for the opportunity to be his companion.
This week was pretty good.  We have seen some cool things happen.

First off we had a lesson with an investigator called Pedro.  He is super cool and has recieved an anwser that the Book of Mormon is true and everything!  The only thing that holds him back is his family, and we are working with that!

Also this week the spirit impressed me to explain our purpose to a family we are teaching, I know that the scripture that talks about opening your mouth and God will put the words in your mouth is true.  I just opened my mouth and the Spirit started talking and I felt the spirit really strong.  I love the opportuniy to be on a mission and feel the Holy Ghost guide what we do, it is really cool!
That would be all for this week!

Here all is well.  I am feeling more comfortable in my spot and actually got a suprise transfer.  I am still in the same area, but I have a new companion.  Elder Shepard is a good guy and I am excited to work with him.  I have to kind of train him and teach him Spanish.  he is progressing and I am pumped to work.  Love you Mom!

calle calle or Life is hard and then you get a transfer!

Well it has been a good week!  I have learned a lot!  First off the house in this sector is amazing!  My companion is also awesome and a great missionary!  He is a convert of almost 2 years!  It is super cool!  His name is Elder Aricari.  We have seen a lot of blessings from God!  One of those blessings was to see a investigator come to church and during EldersQuorum he shared about Family History!  He had been searching about his ancestors early this last week, and we just happened to have a class about Family History in Elders quorum!
It is cool to see the hand of God touch peoples hearts!  Like always I have little time-  However I am sending pictures!

Cambios.

Well first of this week has been pretty great!  We are seeing lots of progress in our sector.  The little town of Mafil is exploding!  We have a investigator there that is reading all of the Book of Mormon, and is progressing.  We also have an investigator there that is basically a misionary, and is sharing the Gospel with everyone.  It is amazing to see how God works in the hearts of those that allow him to enter!  Apart from that we had a funny experience with a drunk guy who pretended to steal my camera, and offered my beer.  It was awesome, and he is really nice.  I havent meet a mean drunk guy yet!

The Lord has really been progressing the work here.  Spiritually this transfer has been a struggle, but the power of prayer is real!  I just got transfered to a different sector close to San Jose!  so that will be fun!  I am excited, but sad to leave this sector seeing all the progress and the hand of the Lord working here!  Love you all!  Thanks for your wonderful examples!

I may be in Chile, but I am American!

Well like always my time is short!  I have really seen Gods work progress this week.  He is awesome!  I love him!  There is a little town just outside of San Jose called Mafil.  We are seeing miracles there.  This sunday an investigator made a sacrafice and took the bus at 9:15 in the morning to come to church, and brought a friend!  It was so cool!  Also a less active came from Mafil and it was so a blessing to see all of them there.  President Obeso has now asked us to travel to that city two times a week, because of the progress we are seeing.  It is amazing.

Spiritualy these 6 weeks have been very spiritual you could say.  If there is one thing I could say that is very important in missionary work is fasting, prayer, patience, and Love.  It is hard to cultivate, but not imposible.  I am still so far from where I wish to be, but I have honestly seen the hand of God in this transfer.  Love you all and Thank you for your examples!

This week has been hard, but worth it. About my Companion.  I have told President about the some things, like the girls and things.  I have had to lay down the lay every once and a while.  I have always been open with you and mom, I took that same principle into pratice with him since the begining of the change.  Everything I have told President or the leaders he knows.  He knows I am aware of why and what he does, because he has told me.  I have been fasting and praying for this guy, because he has a ton of potential.  The other day he finally studied and he felt impressed to read a talk by Elder Holland, called misionary work and the Atonement.  He felt impressed that he has to change.  Now we will see if he exercises Faith and Repents, if he does so he will work miracles and the Spirit will be 100 percent of the time with him.  When he told me that I started to cry a little bit.  I bore testimony of the results of changing, and the affects on other people.  I have been honest with him about how he makes me feel bad, and because at the begining of the change I would judge him, and was a little annoyed with what he would do.  Then I started to find love for this guy and have seen what he can truly do.  When his pride leaves he is almost the same guy that he was.  I have told him all of this, and am honestly seeing him change little by little.  It has honestly been a hard 6 weeks for me spiritualy because I have felt like a failure, but through Prayer, Fasting, and Patience I have seen the hand of God.  I have seen something of a change in my companion it is good.  Love you mom!

Feliz dia del Padre

This week once again I dont have a ton of time.  However I would like to write a little bit about the sacred title of a Father.  I would tell to everyone to please obey your parents.  It will serve you throughout your whole life, and the things that you learn will support you, and give you strength just when you need it.  I would like to thank all the Fathers in the enitre world for taking the title of Father.

I was watching Bible videos today and saw a video that truly touched me.  It is of Christ when he died on the cross.  The man next to him asks him to take him into his kingdom, and Christ tells him that he will enter into Paradise with him.  What a promise!  This love that Christ learned, didnt come from anyone other than his Father in Heaven.  Our Father in Heaven, who truly wishes that each and every one of us is obedient to him as sons and daughters.  He truly wishes to see our faces in the Celestial Kingdom.  However it depends on our Faith and Obedience to his Gospel and Plan that he has created for us.

He loved us so much that he sent his son to die for us.  His only Begotten Son.  The only Perfect Man.  Who Gave his life, not for anything he would recieve, but out of Obedience to his Father, and Love towards us.

Thank you to all the Fathers in the world, especially to our Father in Heaven.
Love you all!

Buena Semana

This week I have very little time!  However I love you all!  This week we have seen a lot of miracles.  Even though it has been a little hard, we saw 3 investigators in the Church.  One of them making a very lond journey at 9:15 in the morning.  It was awesome to see!  This week I learned a lot about what it means to consacrate yourself.  It means basically giving everything.  I have really learned a ton this week.  Love you all!  This work is really true, and God loves you all!
